ARE YOUR CLOTHES HARMING YOUR HEALTH?

Natural Life

Are your clothes harming your health?

Many of us want to have nontoxic lifestyle and yet we do not realize that we are wearing toxic chemicals everyday. These toxins linger in the fibers of our clothing and can be absorbed by our skin as we wear them. Research has linked these exposures to a range of health issues, including skin irritation, respiratory problems, and even cancer. Unfortunately, over 60% of clothing today is made with plastic fibers like polyester, nylon, and spandex. It’s called plastic fashion (source).

Researchers have measured the impact different fabrics have on the human body by measuring their frequencies. A healthy human body has a frequency of about 100 (source). Anything lower than 100 can put a strain on the body and anything above 100 can actually have healing effects. Typical things we wear are made of plastic, and these fabrics like polyester, have a frequency of about 15 – (which is the same as a person who is dealing with a deadly disease).

STUDIES & FACTS

Dr. Heidi Yellen was curious about the instructions in the Torah/Old Testament in the  book of Deuteronomy 22:11.

“… Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together.”

She was curious about how this applied to everyday life, so in 2003, did a study to examine the frequencies of different fabric. She used a machine called the “Ag-Environ machine” which had been used to measure the “signature frequency” output of plants and the human body. The machine’s inventor, Bob Graham, found that the human body had different frequencies based on its level of health. The healthier the body, the higher the frequency.

A healthy human body carries a frequency of 100, but a very diseased or dying body has a frequency of 15.

Below are the frequencies for different fabrics:

Linen: 5,000
Wool: 5,000
Mixed linen and wool: 0

  • It was discovered that when linen and wool are together the frequencies cancel each other out. Perhaps this accounts for the ancient instructions not to mix these fabrics.

Organic hemp & cotton: 100
Leather: 70

Cotton: 70
Silk: 15
Polyester: 15
Rayon: 15

When I read about Yellen’s research, I began to wonder why our world is so driven by profit over truth. Early on hospitals used linen and historically the types of things we used to address wounds or sickness were fabrics and items from nature that promoted healing. We do not take into consideration that the clothes we wear, what we sleep on and so many items we use every day are effecting our health.

Studies have found that if an objects wave quality interacts with the waves of cellular matter in a positive way, the interaction is considered constructive and increases the protective properties of the immune system. Therefore the opposite is also true. If you have fabrics that are in conflict with the frequency of the human body, it can create an environment for disease and disfunction to flourish. A negative frequency can lead to an accelerated wave of the destruction of cells, causing chronic changes and diseases not associated with viruses.

When you have things in your environment that contribute to a combative or negative frequency, your body reacts to a wave chaos and eventually you will have negative affects like immune system dysfunction, or disruption of the chemical and energy balance in the body. The materials that do not carry complementary frequencies, will therefore inhibit cell function, which will cause cells in to wear out prematurely.

Did you know that every disease has a certain frequency parameter. This phenomenon has not been taken into account by modern science or medicine. In the realm of fashion, you see many synthetic fabrics like polyester, nylon, and acrylic because they’re cheap, versatile, and come in a myriad of colors and textures. However, beneath their surface appeal lies a host of health concerns. Many synthetic textiles contain harmful chemicals such as phthalates, formaldehyde, and flame retardants, which have been linked to a range of health issues.

  • A study published in the journal Environmental Science & Technology Letters found that polyester fabrics can release microplastics containing hazardous chemicals when exposed to sweat, raising concerns about their potential impact on skin health.Organic clothing also helps to reduce your exposure to potentially harmful toxins that can be found in conventional fabrics.
  • Non-organic materials may contain traces of pesticide, lead, as well as other toxic chemicals and heavy metals which could cause skin irritation, allergies, or even harm you when they come into contact with your skin.

It is important to understand that you have the ability to switch to organic alternatives like 100% organic cotton, linen, and other organic fabrics. When you choose to wear, sleep on, or use an organic material, you are setting yourself up to be healthier than most of the world around you.help

WHAT WE CAN DO ABOUT THIS…

High-frequency fabrics like linen, wool, organic cotton, and hemp give off good energy, while synthetic fabrics that have lower frequencies are actually draining our energy. Linen emerges as a high-frequency healer, historically revered for its healing properties, resonating at a staggering frequency of 5,000. Wool, with a frequency of 5,000, not only provides physical warmth. Organic cotton and hemp mirror the human body’s frequency at 100, becomes a harmonious and health-supportive choice.

In contrast, silk surprisingly exhibits a low frequency of 10, attributed to modern processing methods and ethical concerns in traditional sericulture. Rayon, synthetic fabrics, and even silk present  vibrational concerns because they are in opposition to our natural frequency as humans. Did you know that the Bible actually tells us about some of the healing properties of fabrics thousands of years ago? In Leviticus, Moses receives specific instructions for healing a leper (meaning any incurable disease), and was given three distinct fabrics for their clothing: wool, linen and leather (Leviticus 13:47-48).

               FABRICS WE SHOULD WEAR __________________________________________

WOOL

This fabric mostly comes from sheep, and is made up of the protein keratin, which is the same protein found in human hair. The structure of those fibers can absorb moisture, insulate against heat and cold, and resist flame. The animal protein in wool can inhibit inflammatory processes and accelerate wound healing. The lanolin (or animal wax) which is in the sheep’s fleece also has antibacterial properties.

  • In ancient times, people used wool compresses to treat toothaches, broken bones, inflammation, and rheumatic pains. A study done in 2009 found people with fibromyalgia reported improvement when wearing wool long underwear (source).

LINEN

These fibers are made from a flax plant, it also has healing properties and can fight against different types of bacteria as well as fungi and can actually help relax the nervous system (source).

  • Historically this fabric was used in hospitals for bandages and sheets, because it was widely known to aid in healing and protect against infections.

ORGANIC COTTON & HEMP

Organic cotton and hemp are at a neutral frequency – (or beneficial depending on illness levels).  Organic Cotton clothes are made from pesticide-free cotton plants and have higher frequencies than conventional cotton clothes. Wearing organic cotton is important – non-organic cotton has a lower frequency due to chemical treatments. Hemp is a sustainable material that has the same vibrational frequency as organic cotton. Hemp is also extremely durable. Both of these fabrics have the potential to support and enhance health.

LEATHER

Leather carries a frequency of 70, which is still in the healthy range for a healthy human body. The benefit of leather is unique because it enables conduction. Your body is able to best function when our skin is in direct contact with the soil, water, air, and sun. Leather itself isn’t conductive, but the energy from the earth can pass through it, which means if you wear leather, you will still be able to connect with the soil for “grounding” and the sun, which can help your body collect free electrons, or energy (source).

What does “frequency” mean?

Energy, light, and matter all exist on a vibrational continuum. A tiny portion of this continuum is the electromagnetic spectrum, and of that spectrum, a tiny portion is visible light.

All physical matter consists of vibrating atoms, which we call “energy” or “frequency.” Physical matter — including your body, a table, or a computer — only seems solid due to the vibration of the atoms. Anything made by man carries NO frequency, but everything made by God does! I believe that when we wear synthetic fabrics like rayon, nylon, and polyester, we are essentially wearing plastic and absorbing it into our body. BPA has also been found in polyester/spandex fabric blends that many wear to workout in.

Time to take your power back , start by slowly changing what you wear! This year I told myself, anything I purchase will be a good fabric and slowly I will replace my closet. It doesn’t have to be done all at once. It can be a step by step process that helps you remove all toxic clothing and material from your life.
